mid pto for JD 870

I have an opportunity to upgrade from a JD 770, FEL, MMM, and 875 hours to a pristine JD 870, FEL,no mid pto, 310 hours. About a year ago there was a thread here about the availability of a kit to add the mid pto in the field. Does anyone know about this kit? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot. This is very helpful. After some consideration, I'm leaning towards a 3 pt finish mower. The benefits should be cost and ease of mounting/removal. My mowing is about 1.5 acres open field, 1.5 acres dotted with trees, playset and other obstacles. From reading other posts, I think the the rear finish can do the job, providing I do some border trimming with a little rider. ....
